Work Out at Home Vs Going to the Gym
Hey guys! It’s Jessica. I just finished my workout and I just wanted to make a short video about WHY I work out at home..
I hear so often from people how they just NEED to go to the gym. They love the accountability factor and THAT’S how they get their best results. But, here’s my thing..MOST of the people that say that, AREN’T actually going to the gym.
I’m sure SOME OF YOU are guilty..you might ALREADY be contemplating which gym you’ll be joining in January.
And unfortunately, percentages and facts show, even by February, you’ll STILL be paying for a membership but you WILL NOT be going.
And I TOTALLY GET IT!
I used to go to the gym a lot and I very rarely saw the same faces. For one, it takes time. Not only are you working out at the gym, most likely, 30 minutes to an hour to even an hour and a half to possibly get results because you REALLY don’t know what you’re doing..
But it’s taking AT LEAST 30 minutes to an hour to get READY to go to the gym..
to drive to the gym
to drink your coffee
to get your body enabled to even get to the gym
not to mention that time commuting back home, as well.
So, when you don’t have that two hour window, you can’t go.
When you have children home sick, you can’t go.
Heck, I remember days where I’m like I have acne all over my face and I don’t want anyone to see me.
So, guess what, I’m not going to go.
That’s the difference when you work out at home.
You can do your workout immediately.
You can carve out a 45 minute window MAX and that’s from waking yourself up to COMPLETING your workout.
Also, heck, you can work out in your pajamas.
You can work out barefoot, like me.
IT DOESN’T MATTER.
The point is you’re doing it. You’re showing up and you’re doing it FAR MORE CONSISTENTLY than most people going to the gym. You might be one of those people that it works, but most times, you pay the fee and that makes you feel good.
But without actually showing up and putting in the work, you’re not going to get the results. Not to mention, the millions of shiny machines. I used to just jump on all of them because it was FUN but then…once the fun wore off, it got old and I didn’t do it anymore.
I also didn’t KNOW what I was doing so I wasn’t getting the results I thought I deserved. So now, I work out at home.
I have a plan.
I have a workout calendar.
I have a nutrition guide.
And all I do is follow the plan working out 30 minutes a day maximum.
People never believe me, but I swear I’m telling the truth.
