Bad Foods Abound
So I recently shared with you some of the free foods out there, but today I’m making sure you know about the bad foods. Now, you might be thinking…Puhlease. I know bad foods. Geesh. Pizza and hamburgers and funnel cakes- OH MY! Well, yes. Those would all certainly be considered “bad foods”, but I want to make sure you are aware of all the sauces, dips and condiments that are sneaking onto waistlines across America! It’s an epidemic in the form of a secret sauce! BEWARE!
Bad Foods on the Condiment Aisle
Sauce. Dressing. Aioli. Dip. Butter.
The secret killers are everywhere. They creep up on you when you least expect them. You order them on the side, feeling confident that you are saving calories, then you lick the container clean and ask for a second. You could have had a piece of cake! But instead, you had a ramekin of sauce.
Cake? Sauce? Cake? Sauce? Ha!
Is the sauce worth it? Are you aware of what’s in the sauce?
Did You Know?
1.5 Tablespoons of Mayonnaise has 10 grams of fat. (which is 15% of your daily recommendation by the USDA based on a 2000 calorie diet).
1 Tablespoon of butter has 11 grams of fat (of which 7 grams are saturated fat). Butter and mayonnaise are two of the main ingredients in most sauces that I would consider under the bad foods. Find out more in my video below.
