Pump Up the Volume; Pump Up Your Results
I want to hear about your best workout songs! Do me a favor. Find your jam..the song that comes on the radio and you HAVE to turn it up! Your head starts bobbing. You pull out dance moves you didn’t know you had. If you’re in the car, you don’t care whose watching. It’s on!! You know what I’m talking about. Whatever you were thinking about, whether you were having a bad day or worried about an issue or just got some bad news, in that moment, with the volume cranked up, the world seemed to disappear and you were energized! Music is powerful! Science all but confirms that humans are hard-wired to respond to music so imagine what you can do with the best workout songs.

What’s your Jam?
I want to hear what some of your favorite songs are for your workouts! It can totally increase your calorie burn as you push yourself to keep up with the beat. You just need to make sure you are matching your workout with songs that have the proper intensity. No yoga to metal music and no high intensity cardio to a lullaby. Also, no matter what, get your playlist set BEFORE you begin your workout. You need to be focused on your exercises and the muscle groups you are working vs fumbling with skipping songs or searching for new ones. Mismatching intensity levels or searching for songs can both be counterproductive to an effective workout. So, post your jam as a comment below! Let’s collaborate! It’s always great to get ideas for new playlists.
