Hey guys it’s Jessica and today I want to talk about motivators.
Because honestly, the #1 thing I’m hearing from my challengers and, you know, something I think we all have to kind of come to terms with is
we think we’re not succeeding because we’re just not motivated,
and we honestly use that as an excuse to hold us back from achieving our goals in life, in our health and fitness journey, or even in our nutrition. Since we’re just not motivated, I guess it is who we are, and therefore we can’t get the results that we want to see in our life.

But my challenge to you is to NOT let that be your story.
A lot of times we can convince ourselves of something that’s really not the case.  There are a lot of different factors or motivators that play into your mojo and that’s something I’m going to be helping you all with this week, so make sure you tune back in!

A lot of times we can convince ourselves of something that’s really not the case.motivators

But the first tip I want to give you to help you with your motivation is:

I want you to set a goal associated with the task that you’re trying to be motivated for.

Say it is: completing your workout.
You want to complete your workout five days this week.
I want you to write it down.
Okay, that’s your goal.
That’s what you have in mind.
That’s what you’re setting out to do.
Now what’s going to happen when you don’t feel like doing it?
I want you to think of a company, or even a charity, or a cause that you do NOT care for… and get creative! I mean, think of something that almost makes your skin crawl! And what you’re going to do, is every single time you do not do the activity that you’ve committed to, you’re going to put ‘X’ amount of dollars in the jar for that charity, or that cause, and you can set it up for a weekly thing, or maybe a monthly thing.

So if my goal is, I’m going to do my workout five times this week, and if I DON’T do my workout, I’m going to contribute $5 per day to this cause (that makes my skin crawl). So you need to think about THAT when you’re making the decision whether or not to complete your workout and at the end of the month. Write that check. This is one of the motivators that should help drive you towards the action that you are intending to do and away from allowing yourself the luxury of NOT doing what you intended to do!

So hopefully that’s helpful.
I’m excited to hear how these motivators help you and how much you end up giving and to what cause. Choose wisely! Make it one literally that you just do NOT want to contribute to in any way possible and I guarantee you will be doing more workouts this week or whatever your goal may be.
