Strategies for Success key to success

Have you ever had a goal or a dream and it sounded GREAT but it also sounded equally out of reach? Overwhelming? Intimidating? Too good to be true? Impossible? Lord knows I have. And when that happens, I usually shut down. Plans change. Dreams diminish. Goals become afterthoughts. This past weekend, I attended a leadership retreat and my biggest “aha” moment was in regards to the key to success. I am always striving to improve and to find ways to help others succeed (whether in their workouts, business or life), as well. So when this key to success was revealed, my ears perked up!

Secret to Successkey to success

For some reason, we are trained to look for the “secret” to success. I know some people that are on a lifelong quest for this supposed secret. Ha! But the key to success that I hear over and over again all boils down to the same thing: daily behaviors. Instead of looking at the huge goal, the insurmountable dream, the intimidating hairy monster…instead, manage your simple, daily behaviors. It sounds slightly “wah-wahhhhhhhhh”. But, it’s TRUE! Books like “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy, “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson, “Eat that Frog” by Brian Tracy, all allude to this simple path to success. It’s less about the big, huge, scary stuff and more about the small, seemingly insignificant things that will add up over time and change your world. The bigger question isn’t WHAT is the key to success, but WILL you be willing to do what needs to be done when it isn’t as glamorous? Showing up day in and day out and doing the small things that don’t immediately return a tangible reward can be hard. BUT, if you can translate those activities into part of your daily routine and into non negotiables, success will no doubt be knocking at your door!

The Key To Success is in Your Daily Routine!
