Hey guys!
It’s Jessica Bowser Nelson and today I want to talk to you about one of my FAVORITE topics and that is…

FOOD!

So first, I wanted to show you my view… if you can kinda see, I am here in Park City, Utah (AKA you must watch the video to see this part..ha!) and that’s kinda why I wanted to talk about my food plan. I’ve lived by this strategy where, if I eat at home, I eat SUPER healthy! I don’t buy anything that’s not clean so that I won’t be tempted to eat it. But if I eat out.. thats when I typically tend to have more of my treat meals. 🙂 But since I’ve been traveling more, I’ve had to change that food plan philosophy because I’m being forced to eat out a lot more!

So my #1 tip for you is…..

If you don’t love it, don’t eat it!food plan

For example, yesterday, I was in a conference and we had a catered lunch. I knew I’m not a huge fan of potatoes. I love bread but I’m super picky, so it has to be like really amazing bread for me to eat it! So I didn’t get any potatoes and I didn’t get any bread. I’m saving my calories there. Yay! They did have AMAZING chocolate chip cookies, so it was an easy choice for me to swap those for that and that became my treat of the day!

I also abide by my #2 rule: 85/15.

I do an 85% clean, 15% splurge food plan, because in my experience, I KNOW myself and if I just go 100% clean, I’m going to end up falling off the wagon and eating every single thing in sight. So for me, that just doesn’t work! And it’s funny, because I get funny looks ALL THE TIME! For example, yesterday, when I was eating that cookie, people were like “You eat cookies??” [and] I’m like, “I don’t eat cookies every day, and I don’t eat all the cookies but I absolutely eat cookies!” Especially if…well, I still have my guidelines… like I said, they gotta be homemade, they gotta be soft…so if they are crunchy, I’m out! Ha!

You have to choose your treats wisely, though so that you enjoy them because there is NOTHING WORSE than eating something HORRIBLE for you thats leaves you feeling like crap, and in a food coma, and it wasn’t even good! So that’s one of my #1 rules.

Skip the things that you aren’t in love with.
Choose your treats wisely,
and in moderation because there is nothing wrong
with treating yourself every now and then but,
food planFOOD IS FUEL!
So you’re going to literally feel like what you eat, so consider that in your food plan. If you have no energy… if you’re tired… if you’re drained… and if you’re dragging a lot, odds are you can look at what you’ve eaten the day before or possibly two days before, because that’s what’s gonna dictate how you feel!

So hopefully that helped you! If you need more help on your nutrition, on your food, and on having a PLAN, you can e-mail me personally at. I will get you started on getting the results you want AND that get you feeling amazing, because I have a lot more strategies that I use that I’d LOVE to share with you, so hopefully this helped!
