It Doesn’t Take Much to Brighten Someone’s Daybrighten someone's day

I used to think it took great effort, attention and money to brighten someone’s day.

You know the drill…flowers, chocolate covered fruit (ummm yes please!), dinners out, surprise gifts, etc.

All of those gestures are sure to brighten someone’s day, but they can definitely add up. I have great news for you! In the video below I share 2 tips that TOTALLY made a huge difference in my day and they were free!

Forget Paying it Forward

My tips on how to brighten someone’s day are super simple yet so effective. If we could all adapt these into our regular routine, I guarantee the world would be a better place. And here’s the thing…I don’t consider these two brighten someone's daystrategies to be a way to pay it forward. Nope. You should not pat yourself on the back when you follow these tips. But rather, it should become a requirement of life vs an exception.

You know the saying how I’m not supposed to congratulate you for not going to jail because you aren’t SUPPOSED to go to jail. Well, the same rules apply. Attempting to brighten someone’s day shouldn’t be considered extraordinary, but normal. Let’s make it ORDINARY again! How many times do you receive great customer service and you are surprised! Why is that? Let’s reverse the trend. Let’s make conscious decisions about the actions or words to brighten someone’s day and expect nothing in return.
